Guitars with ARTitude
Artists, it's time to get out the paint, welding machine, emulsions and good old paper! Artists Row is proud to present Guitars with ARTitude.
We are selecting local, regional and national artists who are willing to explore the guitar as a canvas or material element in the creation of something truly special and significant.
The best part of this event is that it helps raise funds for Artists Row's Scholarship and Community Outreach Fund!
All completed works will be on display in the businesses of our corporate sponsors a month prior to the auction. The gala and auction will take place during Augusta's annual Arts in the Heart Festival, September 15, 2012.
We ask that artists submit a written proposal detailing their plan for the guitar, 3-5 pictures of past works and an artist statement not exceeding 300 words.
Artists will be selected by a jury of professional artists and will be evaluated on skill, originality, and vision. A stipend will be given to selected artists.
Deadline for submission is May 31, 2012
